About Us
Sheketak group was founded in 1997 by Zahi Patish & Danny Rachom.
The group consisted of 5 guys that created a show combining live music and dance.
In 2003 Mr. Dan Opeskin became part of the creative team of "Sheketak" as Lighting designer and creative consultant.
Dan has been working with "Sheketak" touring and producing shows, video clips, events and more.
Today Sheketak Productions is a company of over 25 artists in different areas and the shows created by Sheketak were performed in over 30 countries around the world.
Danny & Zahi together with Dan, are invited regularly to Direct and create Music, Choreography and Video work for different Projects, Theatre plays, TV Shows and
During the 80's he got into Break-dancing and decided to become a professional dancer.
He started training in Ballet with Adam & Ilana Pasternak and took Modern dance classes at the Haia Zur Dance School.
He also took part in "Matan" Arts camp where he further developed his dance training in other styles of dance as well (Later on in his career Danny became a dance teacher in "Matan")
While continuing his training Danny started choreographing for Music Videos. Among others he worked with Ofra Haza, and took part in the Eurovision song contest.
After his military service Danny joined the Club-Med team as a choreographer and worked in several clubs around the world.
Later on He moved to New York and took classes at the "Broadway Dance Center".
He quickly became a popular teacher and created his own unique style of dance.
While in the U.S, Danny created choreography for different shows, music videos and live events and he also toured with singer Martha Wash as one of her dancers.
When he got back to Israel Danny started teaching and creating choreographies for various bands and TV shows,
Among them were "High-Five", "Nolad Lirkod", "Kochav Nolad" "Chasamba" "Speed & the Magic wheels" and more…
In 1997 Danny formed "Sheketak" group together with Zahi Patish
A Dance group that combines in its shows – Live music, Video, Multimedia and theater.
Sheketak premiered in "Hot Dance" festival in Suzanne Dellal Center in Tel Aviv.
Since then the group traveled with its shows to over 30 countries around the world and in addition Sheketak members take part in various projects, among them the musical "King Solomon & Shalmai the cobbler" at "Habima" theatre, Exhibitions, Music Videos, Live shows & Events etc…
In 2009 Sheketak's "Rhythm in Motion" was nominated for best live show at the prestigious LEA Awards in Germany.
Apart from traveling and performing all over the world, Sheketak group performs regularly for school kids with various shows.
In 2012 the show "Hakol Im Hakol" was chosen as "Highly recommended" by Sal-Tarbut (Ministry of education)

Zahi has been playing the piano and drums since he was 5 years old.
At the age of 14, he started Break-dancing and quickly started taking classes in Ballet and Modern Dance.
Zahi graduated with honors from "Interlochen Arts Academy" in Michigan, U.S.A
He was awarded with "Excellent Dancer" Award during his Army service in Israel,
This allowed him to continue his training.
Zahi danced in "Bat-Sheva Dance Co." for 4 years under the artistic director Ohad Naharin and while he was in the company started teaching and choreographing on his own.
During that time Zahi created choreography and music for well known Israeli artists like Rita, Moni & Baraba, Ami Smolarchik, Bat Sheva Dance Co, Inbal Pinto, Ido Tadmor and many more…
On T.V he created music and choreography for many commercials and TV Shows like "Zehu-Ze", "Kochav Nolad", "Nolad Lirkod", "Aharoni & friends" and more…
Zahi won the "Young Artist Award" given by the minister of Education & Culture in Israel.
He was also nominated for "Best Choreography" in the Israeli Theatre Awards in 2005 & 2010
